Net#work BBDO, Gloo take first Loeries Digital Grand Prix
Tonight, Sunday, 27 July 2008 at the 30th anniversary of the Loerie Awards in Margate, a total of 112 Loeries were handed out, of which only two were Grands Prix: King James in TV & Cinema Commercials for Alan Gray ‘Beautiful', and Net#work BBDO and Gloo Digital Design in Experiential Digital Mixed-Media Campaign for ‘Youngblood5 - the first Grand Prix in the Digital Category.

The Young Creatives Award, launched last year, went to Darren Cronje from Net#work BBDO and Simone Rosum from Joe Public. Cronje and Rosum each received a Gold Loerie and an all-expenses-paid trip to any one of the following award shows: The One Show in New York City, the Clio Awards in Miami, the Cannes Advertising Festival in France or the D&AD in London. Additionally, each winner receives an A5 Intuos Special Edition tablet supplied by Wacom.
Tonight's ceremony was hosted by the SABC.
